Help us St. Louis, you’re our only hope.

October 8, 2007

We are always looking for more support/contributers.  We need people who are willing to write articles, take pictures, help distribute, give us money, provide information (possibly gossip! haha!), or anything else you can think of that will help us out.

If you are interested please leave a comment below and/or email us at artifice77@gmail.com

Who wants gossip?

October 8, 2007

Artifice has been asked to create a gossip column dealing with the local art scene.  We would like to know if you, the local art public, really want a gossip column?  Keep in mind that we have a small community here and that YOU are bound to show up in it at some point.  Its funny how small and close our community is yet there are rumors all over the place about everyone.

So St. Louis art types are you ready to have YOUR rumors read by the local populace?  Are you ready to get made fun of?  Are you REALLY ready for this?

Please post a comment below with either “Gossip?  Yes!” or “Gossip?  No!” as your vote.

Thanks

Welcome

September 20, 2007

For those of you who don’t know, Artifice is a small publication that I started last year to promote the arts in and around St. Louis and to support the small independent galleries around town. I ended it because I thought I would be leaving town but now it turns out I will be sticking around for awhile.

My goal with Artifice is to create an outlet for our community. I want Artifice to be a place where folks can publish their writings of reviews of shows, general essays on art, or their take on the St. Louis arts community. Artifice will also always be a place for small galleries to advertise their upcoming and current exhibitions. I feel very strongly about supporting our local independent galleries and encourage them to take advantage of Artifice as much as possible.

Have fun!
